The way we act or talk tells others what is inside our heart. What do your words or actions say about you? Are you bitter, angry, hateful, unforgiving, complaining, etc… OR are you joyful, peaceful, thankful, loving, forgiving, etc…? Our lives as Christians are to be a light and testimony to others about the awesome changes Jesus does in a believer. The latter attributes above show Jesus in us, the first ones destroy our testimony. The world is watching us as Christians to see if our actions and words match up with what a Christian is supposed to be. Let us not give any unbeliever a reason to say all Christians are hypocrites.
(Mt 15:18) But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth the heart; and they defile a man.
(Mt 12:34) O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
(Lk 6:45) A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
(Prov 23:7) For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he…
(Prov 27:19)(NASB) As in water face reflects face, so the heart of a man reflects man.
Let us always remember that Jesus told us in (Matt 12:36) that we will give an account for every careless word we utter in the day of judgment.
