Q: #45. Did man eat meat before the flood?

By: Steve Shirley

A: Based on (Gen 1:29-30), it appears that neither man nor animal ate meat before the flood. In addition, we can logically assume that based on the number of animals taken aboard Noah's ark, that no meat was eaten on the ark.

Finally, in (Gen 9:3-4), God said, "Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you." AND, God told them not to eat the blood of any animal. If they had eaten meat before the flood, it seems reasonable to me that God would have warned them about not eating blood sooner.

Many scholars seem to believe that we will probably return to being vegetarians when we spend eternity with the Lord. I hope I learn to like vegetables better. Smile
