Steve, the administrator for JesusAlive.cc, leads several Bible studies. One is held on Sunday nights from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. EST, primarily for visitors to the JesusAlive site to have an online Bible study using the “Zoom” app. If this is something that would be of interest to you, here is what you need to know.
1. This Bible study is open to anyone in the U.S., or the world who is able to download Zoom (not available in some countries) onto their pc, phone, or tablet (it will need to have a camera and microphone). You can download Zoom here zoom.us.
***Note: For those of you outside of the United States, please make sure you understand what the time difference is between where you are and the United States. Google: “time in New York right now” to find this. For many outside of the U.S., our meeting will be in the middle of the night for you. (In the future, we may add a study at an earlier time if there is enough interest.)
2. When I say this is a “Bible study,” it is indeed that, however, it is also more than that. There are 3 aspects to this meeting: 1. Fellowship – we will spend a little bit of time interacting with each other, 2. Prayer – we will pray for any needs you might have, 3. Bible study – we will spend time studying God’s Word (usually about an hour or so).
3. What I teach is geared towards newer Christians. I will go deeper sometimes, but I try to keep it simple. For the most part, I do expository teaching. What this means is that we will take a book of the Bible, and explore it verse by verse. This study will be “interactive.” I encourage questions, and participation, however, there will not be “debate.” I do not expect you to agree with me on every theological viewpoint, but if you don’t, this study is not a forum for you to argue with me. If I find someone to be disruptive, or monopolizing time, they will either be removed from the room immediately, or not be asked back for another meeting.
***Note: Please take some time to look over the JesusAlive.cc website to find my views on different Bible topics.

If you would like to be a part of this, comment below. In order to comment, you will need to have an e-mail address, and I will receive this e-mail address when you comment. I will use it to contact you so that my wife and I can set up a convenient time for you to meet with us on Zoom before we bring you into the Bible study. We do this with all new people who wish to join. This gives us a chance to get to know you a little better, and for you to meet us. Honestly, it is also a filter for us to make sure you are someone who is sincere about joining, and not someone intent on coming in to cause problems and ruin the study. (This has been a constant problem those who have “open join” Zoom meetings.) We simply cannot let people into the study sight unseen.
After the meeting, if everything goes well, you will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to join us on Sunday.
I look forward to connecting with you!
In Christ, Steve
