Children of ALL ages, this is what the Bible says is your responsibility to your parents.
Children are to obey and honor them:
(Ex 20:12)(The 5th commandment) Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
(Eph 6:1-3) Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. (2)Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; (3) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
(Col 3:20) Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
(Prov 6:20) My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
(Prov 13:1) A wise son heareth his father’s instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.
(Prov 15:5) A fool despiseth his father’s instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.
(Prov 23:22) Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.

Children are to take care of their parents:
(1 Tim 5:4) But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God.
Younger people are also to submit to their elders:
(1 Pet 5:5) Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
A sign of the last days is that children will be disobedient to their parents:
(2 Tim 3:1-2) This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. (2) For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Children, if you think that God takes this lightly, look at some of the punishments in the Old Testament that God commanded for disobedient children:
(Ex 21:15) And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.
(Lev 20:9) For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.
(Prov 20:20) Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.
(Deut 21:18-21) If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: (19) Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; (20) And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. (21) And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.
(Prov 30:17) The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.
I would also point out to you that Jesus repeated both the 5th commandment and the punishment for cursing one’s mother and father in the New Testament and never said God had changed His mind on how severe disobedience is:
(Matt 15:3-4) But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? (4) For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
