Envy is the intense desire to obtain something that someone else has that you do not. It can include many things such as; possessions, money, beauty, talent, etc… God has promised in the Bible to give us everything we need. Being envious means we are not content with what God has given us. It also violates the 10th commandment which states we are not to covet anything our neighbor has. We should, instead, dwell on all the good things God has provided for us and rejoice in the blessings He has bestowed on us.
