Q: #79. Is there anything wrong with interracial marriage?

A: There is not a thing wrong with people of different races marrying. The
color of one's skin means nothing to God, nor should it to us. In fact, each
person on this planet is related because we all came from one common ancestor:
Adam (Acts 17:26). Each of us is also made in the image of God (Gen 1:26)
(Gen 5:1).

The Bible never once mentions that the races should be separate in ANY way.
The Bible does speak of separating from certain people, but this was because
they did not follow the Lord (Deut 7:1-4)(Neh 9:2)(Ezra 6:21)(Ezra 10:11).
Just as God told the Israelites in the Old Testament to separate, we are told
as Christians today to separate and not be unequally yoked (in partnership)
with a non-Christian (2 Cor 6:14-18)(Eph 5:6-8,11). However, we separate
because of what a person believes on the inside, NOT because of how they look
on the outside. We should NEVER judge any person based on their appearance
(Jn 7:24)(1 Sam 16:7).

The Bible seems quite clear how God views the sin of racism based on
(Num 12). Most scholars agree that Moses wife was black. She was an
Ethiopian (Cushite), which was/is a region populated mainly by blacks. In
(Num 12:1), Aaron and Miriam spoke against Moses because he had married her.
Because of this, "the anger of the Lord was kindled against them" (Num 12:9).
So, what did God do? He gave Miriam leprosy which turned her skin "white as
snow" (Num 12:10). What a fitting punishment! However, Moses interceded for her,
and God healed her.

Racism simply means that one race considers themselves better than another.
The Bible says ALL men are equal in God's eyes (Acts 10:34)(Gal 3:28)
(Rom 10:12)(Rom 2:11)(Eph 6:9)(1 Cor 12:13)(Deut 10:17-19)(Col 3:11)(Gal 2:6)
(Job 34:19). If you consider yourself better than ANY person, you are in sin.
This is pride and God HATES it (Prov 6:17-18)(Prov 21:4). Pride goes before
destruction (Prov 16:18). In Heaven, there will be people from every nation,
tribe, and tongue (Rev 7:9)(Rev 5:9). If you can't love people of all races, and
consider yourself one with them while on the Earth, you won't be spending
eternity with them OR God in Heaven.
