Q: #24. Why did God create us?

A: I think the main reason why God created us can be summed up in one word:
"love." The Bible is quite clear that God doesn't need anything (Acts 17:24-25)
(Ps 50:10-12)(Isa 40:14-18). He did not NEED to create us, He WANTED to create
us. The reason, quite simply being that love cannot be shared if there is no one
to love, and God wanted people upon which He could pour out His immense love. He
loves each and every one of us (Jn 3:16)(Rom 5:8)(Titus 3:4)(1 Jn 4:8-9).

Although God loves us all, and wants each of us to be saved (1 Tim 2:3-4)
(2 Pet 3:9)(Ezek 18:23)(Mt 18:14), He will not enter into a personal relationship
with us, nor can we become His child except through Jesus Christ (Gal 3:26)
(Eph 1:3). When we make this decision, we become adopted into God's family
(Eph 1:6)(Rom 8:15)(Gal 4:5). Out of His love for us, He gives us each the
choice to accept or reject Jesus.

In addition, the Bible says that we were created for God (Colo 1:16) and
His pleasure (Rev 4:11), for His glory (Isa 43:7), and to praise and worship
Him (Isa 43:21)(1 Pet 2:9)(Ps 102:18).

Our primary desire in life should be to bring God glory in all that we do
(1 Cor 10:31)(Col 3:17,23). Our lives were created for God to be at the center,
and when He is, our lives will have purpose, meaning, and fulfillment, and we
will be blessed.
