Questions & Answers
I LOVE questions! I have asked countless Bible
questions in my life, and have been asked many
as well.
There is no greater joy I
have in life than drawing close to the Lord through prayer and studying
His word, and then being able to share what I learn with others. Questions are what
catapult me
into God's word the most. I seek to find answers to my own questions at times, but most
often
I am asked a question and think, "Hmmm, that IS a good question," and then I set
out to find
an answer in the Bible or at times even from sources outside the Bible (i.e. Does the
constitution
say there should be a separation of church and state?) that pertain to Christianity. Many
of you
may have asked or been asked these questions as well. Prayerfully, I can help you with a
sound,
Bible based answer. I am going to attempt to keep the answers short and concise (not
always
easy for me).
The questions asked are not from any particular person, but are simply a
paraphrase of ones for which I have sought answers.
I firmly believe that we need to stand on
the teachings of those who have gone before us.
While we most certainly need to pray to the Lord to reveal the truths and revelation of
His
word, if these "revelations" run contrary to the Bible or what has been taught
by solid, well
grounded Bible teachers throughout the history of the church, I would most certainly
question
if they are from God. That being said, while some of you may disagree with my answers, you
can rest assured that unless I state otherwise, they are not simply "my
opinion," but also the
opinion of Bible scholars and teachers that I have learned from over the years that are
FAR
more knowledgeable than I will ever be. Most importantly, do not EVER take anyone's word
for what they say that the Bible teaches, but take what is taught and check it against the
Bible
for yourself.
